Job Description

Our Anchorage office is seeking an energetic and self-motivated Full Time Receptionist/Office Assistant to join our team. The successful applicant will act with enthusiasm, integrity and trust, modeling behavior that respects our employees, peers, and customers in accordance with the core values of our company.

Responsibilities Include: 

• Opening and closing the office Monday through Friday 8:00 am -5:00 pm. 
• Receiving and transferring inbound calls on MS Teams
• Assisting in administrative, project related database entry
• Taking inventory of office supplies and placing office supply orders as necessary
• Receiving and internally distributing incoming mail and packages: UPS, FedEx, etc. 
• Assisting in preparing and shipping packages, drawings, deliverables, and other documents
• Maintaining a clean and orderly office, which includes light cleaning of shared spaces like the reception area, conference rooms and break room
• Assisting with the planning and coordinating of company events
• Ordering and restocking break room snacks, drinks and supplies
• Using MS Word to create and edit quality professional documents using advanced formatting tools
• Using MS Outlook to compose, and send professional emails, schedule meetings using the calendar function, reserve conference rooms, etc.
• Using MS Teams to communicate across the company via multiple channels, meetings, and chats
• Performing other administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED 
• 2+ years of administrative experience including document formatting expertise, preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills, over the phone and in person, with our clients and internal departments
• Enthusiastic and friendly attitude with internal and external customers
• Critical thinking skills
• Ability and desire to be a team player that wants to be a part of the office and its culture.
• Ability to multitask between assignments with accuracy and adapt within a fast paced environment
• Great organizational skills 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint) 
• Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets Coffman’s stringent requirements are required 
• Ability to lift to 30 pounds 
• Previous experience within an engineering firm highly preferred
