Akkodis is seeking an SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) for a Contract with a client in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level Linux infrastructure to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing systems.
Rate Range: $53/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) job responsibilities include:
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level Linux infrastructure for high availability and security.
Administer and optimize physical and virtual Linux servers, ensuring compliance with security best practices.
Develop automation scripts using Perl, Python, or PowerShell to streamline operations and monitoring.
Manage and maintain SQL Server and Sybase databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
Configure, deploy, and maintain applications on servers, including patching and upgrades.
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across infrastructure, applications, and network components.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience managing Linux infrastructure in large enterprise environments.
Expertise in scripting (Perl, Python, or PowerShell) and automation for system monitoring and optimization.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with proven ability to manage IoT systems and ensure security compliance.
