Product Experience Lead

PURPOSE:

As a Product Experience Lead, you are an expert in your digital product area from both a business and technical perspective. You own the responsibility to create and implement a product vision for a specific business unit or high-level workflow. This broad role involves identifying gaps, determining investment strategy, and delivering meaningful solutions to critical business outcomes across Product Supply and/or related spaces. You will have a significant level of organizational credibility and are expected to influence strategy both within the business partner organizations you work with, and within the delivery teams you depend on to implement. You will execute the digital strategy through Units & Squads using a variety of process and technical strategies.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understand and internalize the business strategy for an organization, group of organizations, or high-level workflow;

• Partner with the ITDT organization to develop a Digital strategy, as implemented in a Platform vision, to ensure business outcomes are achieved;

• End-to-end ownership of the Platform vision for your area of responsibility, including solutions delivered within your own platform and by other platforms across other delivery organizations;

• Represent stakeholder personas in the product vision to create a user experience that optimizes efficiency, innovation, and value creation;

• Partner with Platform Leadership focused on building out a Platform component strategy to identify the optimum balance between a tailored experience for a specific persona and maximum reuse to create the broadest possible value for Bayer;

• Influence product teams that design and implement new solutions in collaboration with a variety of stakeholders, internal and external to Bayer CS Product Supply;

• Shape business priorities to accelerate digital transformation with senior and upper management stakeholders;

• Ensure platform and digital products accelerate AI, data science, and data-as-an-asset strategies;

• Maintain a digital product portfolio for the domain and track the lifecycle of each digital product and its supporting technologies;

• Partner with vendors to understand digital product capabilities, roadmap, and lifecycles;

• Ensure all investment requests have considered business value, usability, viability, and feasibility.

• The primary location for this role will be Creve Coeur, MO, however, other Bayer site locations will be considered based upon the needs of the business.

WHO YOU ARE:

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field; or equivalent experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree;

• At least 10 years of experience designing, developing, delivering, or leading software solutions in a complex global environment;

• At least 4 years of experience in leading large teams in a global organization;

• Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills;

• Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment;

• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to evolve solution strategy based on research, data, and industry trends;

• Ability to measure and effectively communicate the business value of proposals and deliverables.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $168,564 - $252,846.? Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).? Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.

This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
