Pharmacy Technician Assistant Job Description Join our team as a Pharmacy Technician Assistant, where you will play a crucial role in the medication management of specialty pharmaceuticals and related supplies. You will work in a closed-door pharmacy fulfillment site, collaborating closely with pharmacists and certified pharmacy technicians. Responsibilities + Accurately dispense medications and related supplies following regulations and company policies. + Process pharmacy orders, ensuring all necessary items are included. + Perform drug and supply ordering and manage inventory efficiently. + Ensure proper storage of drugs and supplies, including refrigeration of perishable products. + Monitor and adjust pharmacy equipment as needed to ensure optimal operation. Essential Skills + Must be at least 18 years old. + Possess a high school diploma or GED. + Pharmacy experience or packing medication experience is required. + Ability to lift 35lbs throughout the day and be on feet all day. + Strong attention to detail with no room for error. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Pharmacy Technician Certification/Registration is preferred, but not required. + Positive attitude and self-motivation are essential. + Interest in the pharmaceutical industry and fulfillment processes. Work Environment This role offers a supportive and dynamic work environment with hours from 7am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday, and optional overtime on weekends. You will have the opportunity to be cross-trained as a pharmacy technician, with potential for career advancement once nationally certified. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Overland Park, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
