Saint Joseph's College of Maine is hiring for the position of per diem Lifeguard! Availability during early mornings, evenings and weekends is highly desirable.

POSITION DESCRIPTON

Supports The Alfond Center's Department Of Aquatics By:

• Ensuring the safety of all facility users
• Implementing all emergency and rescue procedures
• Enforcing all pool rules
• Opening, closing, and maintaining the pool
• Notifying the Aquatics Director of maintenance needs

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Must have current American Red Cross or YMCA certification in:
• Lifeguard with CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
• First Aid
• Availability of 5 hours per week for scheduling purposes

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Ability to pass a Lifeguard skills assessment as administered by the Aquatics Administrator
• Ability to relate well with all age groups, work in a corporative team focused manner and present a professional image
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to concentrate and follow through on all assignments to completion
• Tolerates work related stress effectively and maintains self-control/professionalism
