Job Title: Grinder/Polisher

Location: Saint Paul, MN
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay Range: $22.00 – $27.00 per hour
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Grinder/Polisher to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on role focuses on finishing stainless steel components to a high-quality standard using a variety of grinding and polishing tools. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a commitment to safety and collaboration.

Key Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Proficient in using grinding and polishing equipment, including belt sanders, disc grinders, and finishing tools.
• Skilled in restoring stainless steel welds to a #4 finish.
• Capable of reading and interpreting blueprints to ensure part accuracy and quality.
• Experience working with hand and power tools in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Familiarity with custom manufacturing processes is a plus.

Quality & Inspection

• Ability to inspect workpieces for defects, imperfections, or deviations from specifications.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on meeting quality control standards.

Documentation & Reporting

• Accurately record materials used and time spent on tasks for production tracking.
• Comfortable following structured documentation practices.

Teamwork & Communication

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.

Safety & Physical Requirements

• Consistently follow safety policies and procedures.
• Capable of lifting and handling materials weighing 15–50 lbs.
• Physically able to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related grinding, polishing, or metal finishing role.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
